Believe it or not, in the country of Costa Rica, foreigners actually have the same right to own property that the citizens of the country do. While many countries do have some strict restrictions when it comes to the foreign ownership of real estate, Costa Rica does not, which makes Costa Rica land for sale by owner a great buy. In Costa Rica, both the citizens and the foreigners have the very same legal right, and they are reflected in the laws of the country as well.

If you purchase Costa Rica land for sale by owner, it is important that you properly register the property, and the deed is just not as important. Why you ask? Well, a person can have a title to the property that looks legal, but this really does not mean that they legally own the property. There are some scam artists out there that try to sell the same real estate over and over again, so when you decide to purchase Costa Rica land for sale by owner, make sure that you do a good investigation of the property.

When you are ready to buy Costa Rica land for sale by owner, there are several issues that you will need to be concerned about. First of all, you need to know the status of the property. Does the person who says they own it really own it? You can find this out by going to the public registry, where you can find out who really holds the title. You also need to check the recorded survey of the property as well. Some properties may not have been surveyed for years, so you’ll want to make sure that the same area on the survey matches the public registry as well.

If you cannot close on the sale of the Costa Rica land for sale by owner right away, you may want to get a sale and purchase agreement. This will tie down the property, but you’ll have to give about 10% of the price to be held in escrow as a deposit until the deal is closed. Once you close on the Costa Rica land for sale by owner, then you’ll be given the deed in front of a notary public, who will turn in a copy to the public registry to be recorded.

I am going to costa rica on a mission trip, and i was asked to take pictures for the trip. I want to bring my D90, but I know the moisture and humidity is REALLY bad there. Like, 100% humidity. So, i was wondering what I could do to keep my camera protected.
