Is there a driving map of Costa Rica that’s compatible with a Garmin GPS?
Driving maps of Costa Rica are usually pretty bad (in my experience). They tend to break down when your route goes through a town. The way to navigate in Costa Rica is to learn the list of town names you need to drive through. Then follow the signs from one town to the next. Each town will have signs to tell you how to get through the town to get to the main road that goes to the next town. Americans usually find it strange at first since they would prefer detailed directions and road names, but really it is not a hard way to navigate or drive.

It’s very unlikely. Costa Rica is pretty third worls, and the roads change constantly for construction, or natural reasons.

I’m pretty sure there is a Costa Rica driving map for Garmin GPS. There is a man that comes on Yahoo Answers occasionally and has brought it up – I think he had a part in putting it together. You may want to do a search in the YA and see if you can find him. He’d be the best person to ask in regards to quality etc. Personally, I don’t drive in CR. The roads are not always good, the navigation isn’t always good, and I’d rather just have someone get me where I need to go when I’m on vacation. Driving around lost isn’t my idea of a quality vacation time, lol.

YES! This is a great Costa Rica GPS map for use in Garmin and this company is a green company. Their site is hosted by solar power, they use no paper to market their products and everything is a download – no use of trucks or oil to deliver goods!! How cool is that!!!
