hahahah funny.. i live in costa rica and most of what he said is true… costa rica drivers are not so good at driving and the roads influence a lot. pothols are the mayor problems because either you go over them and literally break your car or you roll over trying to avoid them…

Well, that happens …
Well, that happens in all of Central America, when it rains a hole hill would come down and cover a road or part of a road would be washed away and stay away from driving close to rivers, ’cause when it rains? It rains!

I am a tico and I …
I am a tico and I hate drivers here in Costa Rica!
peachescanterbury, taxi drivers are the WORST! but looking at it from a different angle, you could say that these taxi drivers are soooo used to do that kind of manoeuvers that they always get away with it. Actually, my experience tells me that taxi drivers cause most of car crashes and accidents and again… they always get away with it because nothing happens to them!

OMFG.. I was at a …
OMFG.. I was at a retreat center, so thankfully we had a van driver… because holy crap, the roads are scary. I almost had a heart attack anytime someone passed us. The roads are SO NARROW. And there are no sidewalks, so pedestrians and dogs are constantly in the road. Its like a video game, the way you have to dodge them!! I will def. reccomend to anyone who visits San Jose to hire a taxi/driver who knows what they are doing.

Hey d, thanx for …
Hey d, thanx for the tip…. and you’re RIGHT, pitch black.
January 24th, 2010 at 3:27 pm
One more thing …
One more thing about the night driving. At that latitude, it gets very dark, very quickly after sunset. Really, five minutes before sunset, it’s bright light, and five minutes after, it’s pitch black. And there are no lights out on the rural highway.
January 24th, 2010 at 3:27 pm
haha… you got …
haha… you got that RIGHT. Actually, Driving in San JOse is a whole other video we’re going to do…… and we should have PLENTY of footage. thanx for the comment

no signs in San …
no signs in San Jose telling you it’s a one way street or that you are about to enter the highway… the WRONG way! The infrastructure is stone-age!
