How do I import fruit from Costa Rica?
HI All,
I am visiting Costa Rica and have seen many delicious fruits that cannot be bought in the US. Does anyone know of resources where I can import fruit from Costa Rica?
You need to contact the FDA and the TSA for those foods that can be brought into the US and what volumes – due to health and safety some foods are banned from infected regions so if you contact the governing bodies first you can find out how to import and what is allowed as well as why somethings may not be. The TSA will tell you what airfreight regulations may apply due to new security measures. Good Luck!
