What kind of music is popular in Costa Rica?
I am traveling to Costa Rica this summer for three weeks and I was just wondering what types of music is most popular there. What are some popular bands/songs that are played often there?
Thanks!
Rock, reggae, roots, dance hall, electronic, hip hop, salsa, merengue, regeton, cumbia ….
Those are some different types of music you can hear on the radio and pubs and restaurants.
Here´s a site that promotes night life and different clubs n pubs in CR.

All kinds of music are popular in Costa Rica, you will find the best nightlife in San Jose.
Some popular national bands are Malpais and Escats. There are concerts at the jazz cafe every night.
