I’ve been there, it was the best trip I’ve had by far & I was with friends who actually live there so they all took us to the great spots. This was the highlight of the trip.
The morning b4 we went out to Arenal we stayed at a motel right next to the Volcano & us New Yorkers slept right thru an Earthquake lol. The hot springs were great & we’re going back in 2009. We stayed for a month from Jan-Feb. The best time to go is Nov-April as it rains in the afternoon just about everyday from May-Nov
