what shots are required for travelers to costarica?



i’m from canada. been to costa rica in 1997 and 2005. didn’t take any shots for the 1997 trip. never got food sickness there either.

not a bad idea to get tetanus,polio,hepA shot if travelling extensively to other countries

    Check with your local health department, they’ll be able to tell you what you need, as well as administer the shots and update your vaccination record.

    Off the top of my head, I’d say you’d likely need your shots of Hepatitus A, Typhoid, Dissentary, and pills for Malaria. However, your health department will have the best info.

    None are required, but it makes good sense to have an up to date tetanus and hepatitus A vaccination.

    Hey you are not coming exactly to the jungle. We have a very serious and well known medical system, so don´t worry about it. People are told to put shots for everything, and a lot of this sickness are extinted from years ago and besides that, as any councious tourist, you won´t eat bad food or risk yourself into an unhealty situation. I don´t think Costa Rica is not so different to Hawai or any tropical place from the USA
