		<description>Hi, Tamarindo is a great place. But since you have such a short period of time, you can also drive to Playa Hermosa, near Jaco, it&#039;s internationally known for the surf breaks, and in Jaco there are a bunch of schools, rental shops and everything you can imagine surf:)

I know you&#039;re willing to fly and stuff. But even so, if you fly to Tamarindo it will take you about 4 hours with everything. Playa Hermosa is 2 hours.

I am not a surfer but I direct a summer study abroad program in Costa Rica and these spots have consistently come on top for my students (this is my 11th summer).  You can check out hotels in both places via the web.
