Costa Rica Travel and Vacation

Visitor Information

We’re going to Costa Rica next week…staying at the Paradisus Playa Conchal Costa Rica Resort. It is in the ?

North Pacific section of the country.

Aside from planned activities, we have a day of free time and would like to get away from the resort and mingle with the local people and experience some local flavor…any suggestions on what we could do?

Thanks!

Cool! I’m going to conchal next week as well, with my family LOL, well you can go to bars or take the bus a go to the other beaches close to conchal (that’s what I love about guanacaste, a lot of beautiful beaches are next to each other!), you can also talk the local fishermen and they’ll take you to fish in their little boats…(not all of them do that but you can ask), mmm I don’t know…. surf is pretty popular here too, mmm… just walk around and I know you’ll find something to do, we are known for being very friendly with strangers so you won’t have a problem with meeting people, there are little towns around the beaches so you may want to go and visit them

brasilito is a nice little town/beach close to conchal, there is a nice restaurant next to the sea right in the sand, I went there last year , in a night, it was so beautiful and the food was great, I want to go to that restaurant next week haha)

you may also go to Tamarindo, is a beautiful beach (my favorite one) and is very developed commercially speaking.

If you want to see the most amazing sunset you’ve ever seen ;-) go to flamingo beach! (flamingo beach is a little far from conchal around mmm 40mins by car)

Bahia de los piratas is an amazing little beach, not too people know it (so don’t tell anyone sshh haha) , is really quite and the water is warm, there is this big rock in a shape of a pirate head that’s why it’s called bahia de los piratas (bay of pirates), you can climb that big rock, well is more like a tiny little island right next to the beach and take and awesome picture right next to where the waves crash!

I recommend you rent a car and get out of the resort and go to visit the other beaches (they’re about 20min from conchal, brasilito is right next to conchal) or if you can’t rent a car then go by bus but you have to know very well where you’re gonna go or you’ll just get lost!

if you have any other question or doubt or recommendation feel free to email me!I I’ll be happy to help you! Pura Vida! and welcome to Costa Rica!
