We also visited a unique building project, where they build a house completely out of earth and local materials.

My wife and I are considering moving to Costa Rica. We will be spending several weeks there to see if we should temporarily move. We would like to stay/live near the beach with not as much rain as other places. We like the heat. We’re moving from America. We’ve heard about earthquakes. Are there many? Can they be destructive/dangerous? Also we’ve been researching residency and it seems difficult if you don’t have a pension or a lot of money. We were wanting to maybe work on a boat or maybe at a resort. We are not opposed to investing in opening a business but what would work there?

I have read that Costa Rica has the largest community of Americans living outside of America. Is this true? About how many Americans actually live there? About how many are retirees? And how many end up returning to the US because it didn’t work out for them?

What is the average temperature in Costa Rica in December? Is the water warm in the pacific coast? Are there any monkeys or other exotic animals on the pacific coast? What is there to do in Costa Rica? Is there any good resorts? Is it safe? I know absolutely nothing about Costa Rica so as much information as possible would be great! Thanks alot!!!

I know 1 US Dollar can get you about 500 of theirs, but what can you get for 500 of theirs? If I could by a coke for 100 of theirs then I’d be doing pretty good!!!
