Costa Rica Travel and Vacation

My friends and I are going to Costa Rica for spring break in the beginning of March. We have to get from San Jose to Tamarindo and We were wondering how safe it would be to rent a car and drive there. Or are we better off taking a shuttle bus or something.

My boyfriend always talks about costa rica and has posters in his house but has never been i am planning a surprise trip there but i dont even know where to begin…I want to go to see volcanos,hot springs and do the zipline thing i also want to take him to see witches rock i dont know if this is all near eachother or if i will need to rent a car PLEASE HELP

I’m flying to Costa Rica on the 7th, living with a host family, and volunteering 8 hours on weekdays at an orphanage in San Jose. I’ve completed AP Spanish so I’m almost fluent, and am very independent and all that junk , just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on what to expect,a nd cool places to go and things to do. I really want to see the real Costa Rica, not the watered down tourist areas.

My friends and I are are thinking of going to Puntarenas, Costa rica (Hermosa) for halloween. Only me and another friend surf so wanted to make sure it didnt rain the whole trip for rest of friends as I have heard reports of it raining for consecutive days. I read online and most of the options are for people how will invest money. And I’m 18 years old.. i have no type of investment. I was born in the USA and I like Costa Rica, I plan on living there for 2 years or so. I don’t know what documents I need to take or where to go. Please i went and i couldn’t find a job because they all require “cedula” ( C.R. ID ) i would like to know what is the quickest way to become a resident
