Costa Rica Travel and Vacation

Visitor Information

My friends and I are going to Costa Rica for spring break in the beginning of March. We have to get from San Jose to Tamarindo and We were wondering how safe it would be to rent a car and drive there. Or are we better off taking a shuttle bus or something.

Thanks!

We are flying into San Jose in Costa Rica and have decided to rent a car. We have hear different opinions about pre booking or renting when we arrive. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Cheers

We arrive at the San Jose, Costa Rica airport at 8:20m. We will be staying in Tabacon. Would appreicate if somebody could tell us how much it costs to get to Tabacon, Arenal. Tabacon resort is charging $140 one way for the shuttle.

Also, any suggestions on things to do/see would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I’m doing a huge project on San José, Costa Rica but can’t seem to find a lot of info on the net. Do you know any sites with lots of info that isn’t a travel website. And if you can add in any other facts that would be great. Small world, but so much to learn…

i want to take a study abroad program this summer for spanish and i dont know which i should choose between spain or costa rica, the other ones are cancun and cuernavaca mexico, but i was mainly looking at spain and costa rica. which one should i choose?

Hey Everyone, michael alan and DAngelo from the Costa Rica Travel Channel. We went to Juan Santamaria International Airport aka San Jose Airport (so don’t be confused) and made a little video so you would know what to expect when you fly into Costa Rica. Sometimes, this airport can be quite intimidating, especially during high season (Dec-April). If you made it to La Fortuna, home of the Arenal Volcano, stop by, but don’t forget the Cacique. Every country seems to have their own set of requirements when traveling ‘in’ and ‘out,’ and Costa Rica is no exception. The good news is, the requirements are fairly basic, as it’s quite easy to get in and out of the San Jose airport (Juan Santamaria International Airport)- with the possible exception of ‘time’. There ARE frequent instances of waiting a few hours in various lines, depending. Flying into Liberia’s, Daniel Oduber International Airport, located in the Guanacaste region is just a bit easier and less crowded than its older brother, Juan Santamaria Airport. But, if you are interested in Costa Rica travel, then you should probably take a look at this important information concerning entry and departure requirements even if you’re a seasoned traveler. The Costa Rica Travel Channel thinks it’s a good idea to remind you of things you may have forgotten you know. Things have changed and a drivers license and birth certificate will NOT get you into Costa Rica. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT that will not expire within six months

Can someone tell me a famous food from san jose, costa rica that can be made at home ( vegetarian ) need it for a project!

Well I’m taking a trip down there in next month and I was wondering how long the plane ride would be.

San Jose COSTA RICA, NOT California, NOT Mexico!
