http://TravelCostaRicaNOW.com I sat down with Tim from Abercam La Fortuna, the towns only, MEN only GAY hotel. But this isn’t about GAY. This is about making a life in Costa Rica. Packing it all up and relocating. We ask Tim all the important questions: How did you decide on Costa Rica? Was it easy to START Up a business? What is Gringo Pricing and Tico Time and did have an effect on building your business? I’ve said it a few times, not the most exciting videos, but much NEEDED for those of you who are attempting to do some homework before making the move. Hope this helps answer some of your questions and don’t forget pt. 2 with Tim. Pura Vida and as always, Hope it HELPS.

La Sabana Park or Parque La Sabana is easily located on any map of San Jose. It is located at the western end of Paseo Colon. Back in the day this used to be San Jose’s international airport. This is the perfect place to spend the afternoon and immerse yourself in Tico culture as this is the city’s center for active sports and recreation. Here you’ll find everything from jogging trails, soccer fields, basketball courts and even a few public tennis courts. All the facilities in La Sabana are open to the public.

Parque La Sabana is where Tico families gather for picnics, kite flying, fishing and overall socializing with friends and family, and there’s even an outdoor sculpture garden. This is just a GREAT place to experience local culture and maybe even a good reminder on how the simple pleasures in LIFE are often the BEST… there’s not a PlayStation in site.

Check out our video of La Sabana and if you got an hour or two we would recommend a stroll through the park. We would also recommend you leave this park before dusk and AVOID it all together during the night time hours when the sketchier characters of San Jose come out to play… and they don’t seem interested in a pick-up game of soccer.

GAY Protest held outside the entrance of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica and next to the National Theater. It appears GRAND Hotel Costa Rica may want to consider providing its Security Staff with Sensitivity Training, or perhaps a Review of the current Costa Rican LAWS on the Books regarding the discrimination of Gays. Basically, two lesbians accuse the Security Staff of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica for harassing and discriminating against them for kissing outside the hotel in the square. The kicker, apparently it wasn’t even a ‘making-out’ type of kissing. How boring is that? Well these lesbians weren’t going to take it, so they got their gay ‘family’ and friends to stage a protest outside the Gran Hotel. It was very nice to see a good turn-out and BEST of all, many ‘younger’ gay Tico’s were present of show their SUPPORT. Now that’s what I call a step in the right direction.

Cozy on the Costa Rican west coast
One of Costa Rica’s most popular coastal towns, Playa Tamarindo has a dry tropical climate with plenty of sun for enjoying the surrounding white beaches, national parks and breathtaking mountains. You don’t have to go far to experience nature — Howler Monkeys can often be seen swinging on branches throughout town! As a popular surfer haven, Tamarindo’s nightlife can be as wild as the waves with massive beach parties and hot clubs for dancing. And, if the Latin beat hasn’t already caught you then allow the locals, called Ticos, to teach you to salsa and you will certainly never want to leave.

Spanish in multicultural Tamarindo
Build your Spanish skills at our modern school in Playa Tamarindo, just minutes from some of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica! You’ll expand your knowledge of the local culture through our EF staff, natives of Costa Rica who enjoy sharing their background and home country. This local flavor comes out in the classroom in the form of exciting SPIN courses ranging from Ecotourism to Latin Humor. On the weekends join an EF excursion and discover spectacular natural wonders such as hot springs and waterfalls, or learn to surf along the coastline.

http://TravelCostaRicaNow.com Hey everyone. Not always the most exciting videos, but usually some good information if you’re thinking about making the move to Costa Rica. Here, we’re talking to Kinga, born in Poland but lived the States for about 18 years before deciding to make the move to Costa Rica with her husband Danny. Kinga discusses making the move to Costa Rica, buying property in Costa Rica, starting a business in Costa Rica and even how they manage to keep their grocery bill low, along with other must know info. If you’re thinking about re-locating, then you should definitely check this video out. At first, Kinga may be difficult to understand, just give it a minute. Hope it helps.

Costa Rica Vacation Values in July – Overview of airfares, transfers, and rental condos for travel to Costa Rica’s North Pacific Gold Coast. With your own airfare selection to one of Costa Rica’s two international airports, you can take advantage of transfer and condo costs that could keep you week’s vacation less than $500 per person for a week, based on 4 or 6 person occupancies in 2 or 3 bedroom condos.

Airfares to San Jose (SJO) are generally cheaper than those to Liberia (LIR), but transfer costs and required hours are higher. All listed resorts are very close to beautiful, North Pacific beaches, and are fully furnished for your family and friends.

Visit www.VacationRentalsofTamarindo.com to select your condominium resort and book online with a credit card, or email Tours@VacationRentalsofTamarindo.com for personal assistance. Costa Rica phone – 011-506-2653-1668.
