Going Mobile on the Way to Costa Rica
I have Disconnectivity Disorder, otherwise known as DA, a fear of being disconnected from the world while travelling to places with limited Twitter and network access from my Android phone. Then I stumble on this Samsung mobile lounge, swanky and new. Oh be still my beating heart — there is hope! PS It looks like it will be at least another year before Costa Rica goes 3G, so your little mobile devices will be hella expensive on data roaming. I shut mine off except for texting and phone calls. Don’t bring your expensive laptop – it’s too risky. If you wish to Skype and do emails, a netbook or a Skype phone might be better.

Titled is changed, thank you. Mobile android with Qik defaults to the last known title for videos, with no option to change until I could get to a computer.

Hey, my hotel has one outdated computer with wired access, woot woot! I saw a woman who ported her MacBook out here, sitting in the glow of her screen out on the veranda. Should have brought over a beer and made friends…
